We only collect what's needed to plan your event, process your payment, and keep in touch with you. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

• Booking a package: your name, email address, phone number, event date(s), start/end times and location for each event day, guest count, venue type, color scheme, how you heard about us, your selected package tier and add-ons, any promo code used, and any special requests you share with us.
• Requesting a consultation: your name, email address, phone number, the type of event and package you're interested in, your preferred call-back date and time, and your message to us.
• Submitting a review: your name, email address, star rating, and review text. Your email is used only to verify and follow up with you — it is never displayed publicly alongside your review.
• Subscribing to our newsletter: your email address and, optionally, your name.
• Browsing our site: standard technical data — your IP address, the pages you visit, the site that referred you here, your browser, and your device type (desktop, mobile, or tablet). We use this only to understand traffic to our site; see "Analytics & Visitor Logs" below.

We never ask for, and never store, your card number, CVV, or mobile money PIN — see "How We Handle Payments" below.

• To process your payment and send you booking confirmations, receipts, and updates — by email and, where you've provided a phone number, by WhatsApp.
• To respond to consultation requests and enquiries.
• To display your review publicly once approved (name, rating, and review text only).
• To send our newsletter, if you've subscribed — you can unsubscribe at any time.
• To understand how visitors use our site, so we can improve it.
• To detect and prevent abuse of our booking and login systems (for example, limiting repeated failed attempts).

How We Handle Payments

All card, Apple Pay, and mobile money payments are processed directly by Paystack, our payment processor, through their own secure checkout popup or hosted payment page. Your card number, CVV, and mobile money PIN are entered directly into Paystack's systems and never pass through or touch our servers. We only receive confirmation of whether your payment succeeded, the amount, and a transaction reference. For bank transfers, we manually confirm receipt of funds against our bank statement — no card or account details are collected for this option.

WhatsApp Notifications

If you provide a phone number, we may send booking or consultation confirmations to you via WhatsApp, using Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. This means your name, phone number, booking reference, and relevant amounts are shared with Meta solely to deliver these messages. We also receive an internal WhatsApp alert (to our own business number) when you make a booking or consultation request, containing the same details, so our team can follow up promptly.

Analytics & Visitor Logs

We log basic technical information about visits to our site — IP address, pages viewed, referring site, browser, and device type — to understand our traffic and improve the site. This data is used only for our own internal, admin-facing statistics. We do not use it for advertising or ad retargeting, and we do not run any third-party analytics or advertising trackers (such as Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel) on our site.

When our team reviews visitor statistics, we look up the approximate country and city associated with visitor IP addresses using a third-party geolocation lookup service (ip-api.com). Only the IP address is sent to this service — no other personal information.

Cookies

Our site uses a single essential session cookie, used only to keep our admin team logged in when managing the site — it is not set for ordinary visitors browsing the public site, and we do not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or remembering preferences.

Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run our business, each solely for the purpose described:

• Paystack — to process your payment.
• Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) — to deliver booking/consultation notifications, if you've provided a phone number.
• Our email provider — to send booking confirmations, receipts, and newsletters.
• ip-api.com — to resolve the approximate location of visitor IP addresses for our internal traffic statistics.

We may also disclose your information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fairytales with AJ, our clients, or others.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep booking, consultation, and review records for as long as needed to deliver our services and maintain accurate business records. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time, after which we stop sending you emails. Technical visit logs and security records (such as login attempt logs) are retained for internal record-keeping and are not routinely and automatically deleted; you may request their removal as described below.

Your Rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct any information that's inaccurate or out of date.
• Delete your personal information, where we're not required to keep it for legal, contractual, or accounting reasons.
• Unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time.
